On this page you will find a video tutorial guiding you through an example of an assignment associated with the “Fostering Positive School Cultures & Family Engagement for English Learners” micro-credential. The activity is designed to feature students’ country (or state) of origin where each student generates a poster presentation using the graphic organizers listed below. Students can integrate the graphic organizers in any format of their choosing, giving them creative control of their teaching opportunity. For every day of the week, each student presents a section of the graphic organizer and their peers generate questions based on the information they are presented with. Students can further engage with their classmates’ presentations by choosing to complete a written reflection activity or reading activity coupled with a KWL chart.
